Cheesy Radio ♥ Cheesy DJ

radio_dial
Sitting at the front of the UV Express while on my way to work earlier this morning.

It is just an ordinary day.

It was so candid when the driver turned on the radio and the DJ speaks up!

He asked, ” If you only have one option in life, what would you choose? To live forever fat? or to live forever young!?”

He answered his question and it was the cutest! 😉

And I quote,
” for me….I want to live forever FAT! …. I don’t want to live forever young ….because If I live forever young I will not achieve my goal in life……which is to GROW OLD WITH YOU.”
aaayyyyyiiiiieee!!!!! cheesy radio.
hahaha…. random thoughts! xD

Never ending debate of religions — Catholic Saints

Great-Quotes-By-Mother-Teresa
We have the right to express our own opinion. Yes! But don’t you realized that judging one’s religion’s tradition and faith is not right?………..this is merely my opinion.

This started when GMA News posted on Facebook about Pope Francis and his visit in South Korea. They posted a topic entitled Did you know that Korea has the fourth largest number of saints in the Catholic world?”

I’m just so happy to find articles like this because I’m one of those Catholics who are excited to read about the Pope’s Asian visit…then these random Facebook commentors ruined my excitement:

And the never ending debate about Catholics, Saint and religions started. But then again I don’t want to comment about this…. But these two comments caught my attention and I said to myself that this is worth sharing:
Random Facebook commentor:

“sabi nila wag kang sasamba Sa mga diyos diyosan o kahoy na gawa lamang ng tao Para san ba ang Saints na appointed by humans? Ang natutunan ko kasi sa bible, only Jesus ALONE is the one and only mediator between God and Human. Read John 14:6. Malinaw na malinaw. Sorry sa mga mao-offend. Kung magre-rely lang kayo sa sarili nyong reasoning and traditions rather than following the word of God. maliligaw talaga kayo. thanks for reading this. God Bless!”

Commentor # 2:

“Saints were given respect not worship. It is for the good things they did for humankind. These good things were based on God’s love. That is why, it’s our God who is being worshiped here, not the Saints. Reading the Bible is not always “literal” in meaning. We need persons who are in authority to interpret it for us. These persons in authority are those who studied and learn the Bible for so many years. It’s not only a one day, one month of studying. Aside, the Bible was written a long time ago. When people who became saints were not yet living on earth. The curved things and like that was stated in the Bible refers to old faith were people then had curved images not in form of human but mostly animals. And take note, saints were not and are not being worshiped. They are being respected. The “true kind of faith to GOD” for me, is “not any of the religion that we have today”. The “true kind of faith to God” is the genuine or true love that we are showing to our fellowmen. Because what we showed to our fellowmen is a reflection to our good relationship to God. And this relationship to God refers to “religion” as per Webster Dictionary. If we have “no love” in our hearts. Then we have no “true faith”. Whatever our religion, group, sect, affiliation. Whatever doctrines were taught to us. What important is that : we are a good Catholic, a good Muslim, a good Protestant, a good Iglesia Ni Kristo, a good Born-Again Christian. If we are all GOOD, then GOD is with us. If we LOVE each other despite of who we are : our status, color, faith, citizenship etc, then GOD is with us. Because GOD is GOOD and GOD is the source of our genuine LOVE. Bear in mind, LOVE is more than or surpasses FAITH.”

Ms. Torres comment was my own sentiment. That’s why I think her comment was worth sharing.

Note: about the photo, Mother Teresa is not yet a Saint…I respected her that’s why I used her photo for this. In 2003, she was beatified as “Blessed Teresa of Calcutta”. A second miracle credited to her intercession is required before she can be recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church. (Photo Credit to the owner)
